How to: Rearrange headings in a Word 95 outline.
Solution:
In 'Outline' view, use the Outlining toolbar buttons to rearrange headings in a Word 95 outline.
NOTE: These steps assume that there is an existing document.
1) Select the 'View' menu and select 'Outline'. (The Outlining toolbar appears and the document appears in Outline format.)
2) To change the level associated with an outline heading do one of the following:
a) To increase the heading level:
1] Click anywhere in the heading.
2] Click 'Promote' toolbar button on the 'Outlining' toolbar to increase the heading level. (The heading moves one level to the left.)

b) To decrease the heading level:
1] Click anywhere in the heading.
2] Click 'Demote' toolbar button on the 'Outlining' toolbar to decrease the heading level. (The heading moves one level to the right.)

c) To change the position of an outline heading (i.e. move a heading vertically), do one of the following:
1] To move the heading up:
a] Click anywhere in the heading.
b] Click 'Move Up' on the 'Outlining' toolbar to place the current heading before the preceding heading.

a] Click anywhere in the heading.
b] Click 'Move Down' on the 'Outlining' toolbar button to place the current heading after the subsequent heading.
